Welcome to DisdrictKid. No joke, I’m an Electronic Dance Music promotion channel on VidLii that, you guessed it, promotes various kinds of EDM I’ve discovered throughout my 2+ decades of listening to the genre umbrella. However, I also upload other types of music that aren’t EDM. In most cases, they’re Horrorcore Rap, the most hilarious kind of Rap with no questions asked!

Before you contribute, here are the guidelines to ensure what you send is typical of DisdrictKid promotions.BANNED:
Anything submitted will be rejected if they’re under the guise of the following:

  • Promotions directly referencing Brad Taste In Music / Big Baller B (clips of his videos, music, etc.).

  • Promotions meant (with an intention or not) to cause controversy.

  • Music that’s heavily sensitive to YouTube's copyright system, in the worst case, could land in a copyright strike, which the website never intended to. If one promotion got copyright-striken for containing one element, that element will cease to exist on the channel, which will be listed below, unless that element is heavily edited or that promotion is deliberately distorted in revenge.

  • Unedited Audio/Video.

  • Promotions of ideas previously done, either here or elsewhere. We make an exception if the promotion is either a direct remaster or a uniquely distinct take on the idea, whether it's a different execution or a better rendition.

  • Promotions submitted to another channel. We may make exceptions for personal uploads (VidLii, YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, etc.) if the following have a low number of views.

  • Anything with gore, porn, nazism, racism, bigotry & any other shock & offensive imagery. Promotions of releases featuring the following material in their cover artwork may be waived depending on the circumstances, though we censor the cover artwork for such material as much as we can.

  • Submitting more than 1 or 2 promotion contributions for a specific day with the intent of creating a channel event.

DISCOURAGED:
While not outright banned, such will be reviewed with heavier consideration & have a higher possibility of being rejected if we find that the execution of such doesn’t work within the context of the promotion itself or doesn’t meet our general quality standards:

  • Out of key notes & vocals (Unless either it’s a promotion of “Lucid Dreamer” or “The River In The Land Of The Rainbow” by Evren Ulusoy, presenting From Tokyo With Love, or that’s the joke).

  • Promotions out of sync/beat (Unless either it’s a promotion of most of Irreguler Fantasies’ work (e.g. “Modernize”), or that’s the joke).

  • Promotions that are low quality audio (Unless either it’s a promotion of “SPECTRAL RIDDIM OMG WOWZERZZZZZ” by BUNDA, or that’s the joke).

  • Obvious a cappella-slaps.

  • Straight MIDI-swaps/slaps.

  • Attempting to contribute to the promotion of a track which has already been promoted multiple times (More than 2) on our channel. In general, the more times a song has been promoted, the higher the standards are for it.

  • Slapping a melody over a song verbatim without adjusting the backing music or melody itself to compensate.

  • Any song/audio/footage that will get your video blocked in several countries, unless it’s heavily altered in a way that allows it to go under the copyright detection radar.

  • Promotions of video game music, unless that game has an official soundtrack album release available on physical or digital media.

  • Attempting to submit promotions of your own original music. We know who you are!

CHOOSING A MIX/DUPE TYPE.
When choosing a dupe for your promotion contribution, please try to stick to more believable names. We don’t want to give away the joke before you even watch the video, & would like to stick to more reasonable version names (Such as Original Mix, Extended Mix, Demo, Unreleased Version, etc.) when uploading to keep more in character. If you strongly feel that your contribution should use a specific version name, feel free to let us know when submitting; we might ask you to choose a different version name.Tracks that contain a mix name in their official title are to be treated as part of the title & not as a separate mix/dupe tagging.
